I am in my mid-40’s and have been making wine for about 12 years. In all that time, I have had only 1 batch not turn out. That was very early on and was as a result of some poor advice from a local brew store. (I don’t go there anymore) I could not begin to count how many batched of wine, beer and port that I have made over the years, but it is alot.
For the past 6 or 7 years, I have been a member of the local Wine Judges Association as well and take part in judging homemade wine competitions, typically 3-4 per year. I have judged in the Provincials every year as well as the Nationals when they are held here. I am also a member of a local Wine Making guild that is run through the store that I buy all of my supplies from. The proprietor is extremely knowledgeable and we have alot of fun tasting each others wine at out monthly get-together.
